Phosphate

Monitor the 'Energy Mineral' Phosphorous. Phosphorous is a key building block of ATP (cellular energy).

What is Phosphate?

Phosphate is an essential mineral (specifically an electrolyte) that plays a critical role in almost every cell in your body, including building bones, teeth, DNA, and cellular energy.

Why is Phosphate found in the urine?

If phosphate levels are high, the kidneys will filtrate and excrete it, but if your body is low on phosphate, your kidneys will reabsorb nearly all of it, leaving very little in your urine.

Urine phosphate is most accurately measured via a 24-hour urine collection rather than a spot test. Between 12.9 – 42.0 mmol per 24 hours is considered in range.

Why track your Phosphate?

Phosphate is the "P" in ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), the body's "energy currency". To keep your engine revving and your recovery on track, you need your phosphate status to be gold-standard. But there's a catch: not all phosphate is created equal.

Think your diet is 100% clean? Your urine might tell a different story. While plant-based phosphorus is a 'slow-burn' nutrient (absorbed at only 40-60%), the inorganic phosphate additives hidden in processed foods are absorbed at a staggering 90-100%. Tracking your urinary phosphate is like having a lie-detector test for your diet, revealing exactly how many hidden additives are slipping past your defenses and compromising your results.

Stop the hidden sabotage. Use BodyCheck to track your Phosphate levels and verify the clean diet you work so hard to maintain.
