YOUCOUNT LAUNCHES INITIATIVE FOR KIDNEY DISEASE URINE TESTS

January 9, 2022 Vancouver, BC - YouCount Inc. (www.youcount.io) ("YouCount" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it is receiving advisory services and funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to support a research and development project that will develop an Albumin-to-creatinine Ratio (ACR) Test for Patients in Remote Communities or Isolated Areas for the identification and management of patients with Kidney Disease.

NRC IRAP, in collaboration with the Health Beyond team (HB) of the CSA, have launched a program to support technologies aimed at addressing needs for the Canadian healthcare and wellness sector and that could have a potential for future adaptation for space utilization.

Nick Dechev, CEO and Co-Founder commented: “YouCount’s testing platform uses machine-vision and proprietary sensor technology to accurately detect and analyze biomarkers in urine in remote locations independent of trained medical staff.”
